A Gracious Moment — and the Beauty of New Eras

Lately, I’ve been feeling especially reflective.

Watching Today with Jenna & Sheinelle step into a beautiful new chapter stirred up a memory I’ve carried with me for years — a small moment that left a big imprint on my heart.

Back in early 2024, my family had the incredible opportunity to be on the TODAY show. We met so many kind, gracious people that day, but one interaction has always stood out: meeting Sheinelle Jones.

She was rushing off set — literally holding a piece of salmon from a segment — when I spotted her. Without hesitation, she stopped and took a photo with me. At the time, I had no idea she was quietly navigating a deeply personal and challenging season with her husband’s health.

What I did know was how much that moment meant to me.

As a stay-at-home mom with Lennox, Sheinelle anchored my mornings. She was part of my daily rhythm — familiar, comforting, inspiring. Seeing her in real life felt surreal. And her willingness to pause, even briefly, felt like such a gift.

Looking back now, that moment feels even more meaningful. It was grace — freely given, even when life was heavy. It reminded me that public figures are human, too. They carry real lives, unseen challenges, and responsibilities far beyond what we see on screen.

Sometimes we meet people in the middle of their story — not knowing the full weight of what they’re carrying. And sometimes a simple moment of kindness becomes something sacred, long after the fact.

Watching Sheinelle now step confidently into this new era alongside Jenna feels especially powerful. There’s something beautiful about witnessing someone evolve, grow, and keep saying yes to what’s next.

In many ways, it mirrors my own season.

This year, I stepped into a brand-new chapter as a high school business teacher — a role that feels both stretching and deeply aligned. It’s a new rhythm, new responsibility, new purpose. And while it’s different from the entrepreneurial paths I’ve walked before, it’s still rooted in the same heartbeat: empowering young people, building confidence, and helping others see what’s possible.

I feel incredibly privileged to be in good company — even from afar — surrounded by women who lead with faith, heart, courage, and joy while embracing their own next chapters.

So here’s a heartfelt cheers to Sheinelle Jones — thoughtful, gracious, faith-filled, and so deserving of this moment.

And here’s a cheers to all of us stepping into new eras — sometimes quietly, sometimes boldly, always becoming.
